LiNK Team Group Call: It’s been a while since we’ve had a LiNK Team group call but there have been big changes in the organization that we need to update you on! We’ll be gathering on Zoom on Tuesday, January 27, at 12 pm PT (2 pm CT, 3 pm ET). Here’s the link to join! Invite your entire team because you’ll have a chance to meet people from other teams and also ask questions. You don’t want to miss this.
Fundraising Competition: The fundraising competition is still in full-swing! Two people from the team that raises the most funds this school year will win a trip to Los Angeles for Liberty in North Korea’s LA Gala. Here’s a glimpse of what Gala is like. Just as a reminder, every single dollar raised by LiNK teams goes directly towards rescue and resettlement efforts.
Changing the Narrative: LiNK Teams are on the front lines of impact, helping rescue and resettle North Korean refugees while bringing new supporters into spaces LiNK HQ can’t reach alone. To help you maximize that impact, we created the Gyuri Screening Guide. You’ll get two short videos of Gyuri, who escaped North Korea in 2024, along with ready-made talking points and discussion questions. It’s designed to make hosting easy, repeatable, and powerful so that you can run multiple events, reach more people, and grow your community of supporters. Keep an eye out for the screening guide and a team-specific QR code that you can use for sign-ups.
Project for Awesome: This is an opportunity for you to help LiNK win big! Every year, Project for Awesome accepts video submissions about different causes. The cause/organization that receives the most votes can win over $30,000! We need you to rally your team AND your campus to vote for LiNK between February 10 – 18. Keep an eye out for more info when voting opens!
